PhOH was adsorbed on 2 com. fluidized polymeric adsorbent beds from aq. solns. (concn. 0.02-0.11 g/L) at 20 and 30 degrees C to det. the Freundlich isotherms. The Amberlite XAD-16 showed higher equil. PhOH concn. in the adsorbent phase. A review of literature, with 28 refs., on use of polymeric adsorbents for adsorption of phenols was given. A laboratory stand for studying the adsorption in fluidized bed was designed and constructed.
