Participation of bacterial strains and fungi in removal of triphenylmethane dyes
Four bacterial strains (Chryseomonas luteola, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Burkholderia cepacia and an unidentified one) as well as 4 fungi (Clitocybe dealbata, Potyporus picipes, Trametes versicolor, Morchella sp.) were used for decolorization of brilliant green and cresol red-contg. wastewaters. The av. removal of brilliant green by bacterial strains after 7 days was 83,3% (adsorption on biomass 19,7%), and by fungi 84,1% (adsorption on biomass 76,8%). The av. degree of decolorization of cresol red-contg. wastewater by bacteria was 20% (sorption 1,3%), and by fungi 71,8% (sorption 53.6%).
