Pressure disinsection of plant raw materials with gaseous carbon dioxide. The first industrial plant in Poland
Plant raw materials are treated with gaseous CO(2) under pressure up to 30 bar and at below 35 degrees C for 60 min (decompression rate 2-5 bar/min) to kill the microorganism contained in the feedstock. The developed process was practically implemented in a prodn. plant with an output of 100 m(3) of plant material during 8 h (under 20 bar).
