Bombyx mori cocoon fibroin was purified by leaching with aq. solus. of soap and Na(2)CO(3) at b.p., dissolved In 98% HCO-OH (soln. concn. 12%) and electrospun at 24-25 degrees C by using nozzles 0,2 and 0,3 mm in diam. (voltage 17 kV, fibroin output 0,6-1,1 cm(3)/h) to produce nano-fibres nonwovens with a surface d. about 200 g/m(2). The morphol. of the fibers on nonwovens was studied by scanning electron microscopy.
