Possibility of application of fibrous ion exchangers in air deodorization
NH(3), Me(2)NH and pyridine were removed from air under lab. conditions by sorption on ion exchange non-woven fabrics (acidic group content 3-5 mequiv/g, thickness 6-18 mm, surface d. 0.9 kg/m(2), air humidity 7-94%). The final NH(3) concn. in the air was decreased down below 1 ppm (air flow rate 0.2 m/s). The efficiency of Me(2)NH and pyridine removal was higher then 95% (air How rate 0.01-0.05 m/s).
