Extraction of berry seed oils with supercritical CO2
Blackcurrant and strawberry seeds were recovered from industrial pomaces, disintegrated and extd. with supercrit. CO2 at 50 degrees C under pressure 280-360 bar for 270 min. The exts. were analyzed for acid, peroxide, I, and sapon. nos. as well as for content of proteins, fats and fatty acids. Linolic and a-linoleic acid were main fatty acids in the extd. oils. The oils contained also large amounts of carbohydrates.
