Thermoshrinkable elastomeric materials with ionic polymer net-works
Carboxylated acrylonitrile-butadiene elastomer (acrylo-nitrite content 26.3%) was crosslinked with nanosized CaO, MgO and ZnO at 160 degrees C. Mech. properties and crosslinks d. of the vulcanizates were examd. The labile ionic crosslinks in the elastomer network were responsible for initial shape recovery after heating. The highest shrinkability was obsd. for vulcanizates crosslinked with ZnO nanoparticles.
