Acrylic anion exchangers modified by SPANDS as chelating resins in preconcentration of metal ions
Two com. acrylate anion exchange resins were modified by complexing with p-phenylazosulfonotropic acid and used for sorption of Cu(II), Ni(II) and Co(II) ions from aq. solns. under static conditions. The strongly basic resin adsorbed more dye than the weak basic one (795,52 and 23,43 mg/g, resp.). The modification resulted in increasing the sorption capacity during the sorption of Cu(II) ions only.
