Numerical modeling of the fluid flow in a solid-liquid system produced in a bioreactor with a turbine impeller
Flow velocity cif reacting suspension of pumice or controlled pore glass particles in aq. soln. of sucrose in an unbaffled bioreactor with a pitched blade turbine was numerically modelled to det. the effect of solid particle size on the velocity field and distribution of the solid phase in the suspension. The results were presented graphically.
