Dehydrogenation of light alkanes over mesoporous-siliceous supported chromium, vanadium, gallium and iron oxides in presence of carbon dioxide
EtH, PrH and i-BuH were dehydrogenated with CO2 over SiO2-supported Cr, V, Ga, and Fe oxide-based catalysts in a quartz reactor at 873 K and alkane:CO2 ratio 1:5. Cr oxide-based catalyst exhibited the highest catalytic activity in the reaction. In the case of i-BuH dehydrogenation, the V oxide catalyst showed also a high activity. The presence of CO2 resulted in increasing the yield of resp. alkenes on the Cr catalyst and decreasing the yield on the V catalyst in comparison with dehydrogenation in He.
