Synthesis and characterization of naphthyridine and acridinedione ligands coordinated ruthenium(II) complexes and their applications in dye-sensitized solar cells
Naphthyridine and acridinedione coordinated ruthenium (II) complexes were synthesized and characterized. Their applications in dye-sensitized solar cells were demonstrated. From the I-V curves, the short-circuit photocurrent (I-SC) and the open-circuit photovoltage (V-OC) were measured. A maximum current conversion efficiency (1) of about 7.7% was obtained for 5-amino-4-phenyl-2-(4-methylphenyl)-7-(pyrrolidin-1-yl)-1,6-naphthyridine-8-carbonitrile (pmpn) coordinated ruthenium (II) complex.
