Poultry bones and sludge from wastewater treatment were microbiol. processed with Bacillus megaterium bacteria to solubilize the P compds. for 10 days. The solubilization started after one day (sludge) or 4 days (bones) long incubation periods. The sludge substrate allowed for a faster increase in microbial biomass than the bone substrate.
