The use of hair mineral analysis in the identification of bioavailability elements for human
Eighty girls (students of the Wroclaw University of Technol.) were tested for mineral compn. of hair depending on the consumption of tea, tea with lemon, coffee and milk. Content of 23 elements was detd. by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry. Use of lemon resulted in a significant increase in the Fe and Cr contents in the hair while the drinking milk resulted in a significant increase in the As content.
