Impact of sewage sludge on zinc and lead contents in reclaimed grounds
Soil samples collected from lime and sewage sludge-reclaimed sites (former S mine) were subsequently leached with aq. AcOH, aq. NH2OH center dot HCl, and concd. H2O2 or one-stage with HNO3/HClO4 solns. The exts. and residues were analyzed for Zn and Pb by spectrophotometry. The Zn content (17.3-378 mg/kg) was the highest in the surface soil layers. The Pb content (39.9-73.9 mg/kg) did not depend on the layer depth. The main amts. of the metals were contained in the extn. residues.
