Original and waste polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS) and their blends (85:15 and 15:85) were processed by optional mech. grinding, then granulation in lab. and corn. extruders and finally by injection molding to prep. the test samples. The viscosity of PE wastes decreased during the grinding and increased during extrusion (also in the blends) in contrary to PS wastes.
