Effect of glycerol derivative modifiers on properties of aluminum hydroxide-reinforced linear low-density polyethylene matrix composites
Esters of glycerol and maleic, adipic and oleic acids were used as modifiers of Al(OH)(3)-rein forced 55% by mass linear low-d. polyethylene-matrix composites. The addn. of modifiers resulted in an increase in ultimate elongation of the composites but did not affect their tensile strength and flammability. The best results were achieved when oleic acid-based ester (acid content 10% by mass) was used as a modifier.
