Properties and structure of polyesters made of citric acid and butanediol and of synthesized rigid PUR-PIR foams
C(OH)(CH2COOH)(2)COOH was esterified with HO(CH2)(4)OH and CH2OHCH2CH2(OH)Me glycols to resp. polyols used for manufg. resp. rigid polyurethane-polyisocyanurate foams. The polyols showed similar hydroxyl nos. but significantly different viscosities. They could be efficiently used for making the foams with closed cells.
