Ground tire rubber was devulcanized in a co-rotating twin screw extruder to study the effect of screw configuration and screw rotational speed on torque of screws, energy consumption, crosslinking d., devulcanization degree and Mooney viscosity of devulcanizates. The products showed good mech. properties and could by cured with S for 11 min.
