Seven ionic liqs. were used as mediums of a Heck coupling of CH2=CHSiMe3 and CH2=CHSiMe2Ph with 4-MeC6H4I in the presence of Pd(OAc)(2)/PPh3 catalytic system as well as NEt3 and AgNO3. The 3,4-dihydroxy-2-ethylpyrilium methanesulfonate and 3,4-dihydroxy-2-ethylpyrilium p-dodecyl-benzenesulfonate were most efficient reactions mediums for the arylation of vinylsilanes.
