Use of the ICP-AES method for multielemental analysis of pure lead and lead alloys used in production of lead-acid batteries
At. emission spectroscopy with inductively coupled plasma was used for fast detn. of Sb, As, Sn, Ag, Cu, Bi, Zn, Ni and Cd contents in certified ultra pure Pb and 4 ref. Pb alloys to prove applicability of the method. The metal samples were dissolved in soln. of HNO3 and L(+)tartaric acid. The limits of detection and quantification, linear dynamic range, repeatability, reproducibility and accuracy were detd. The results were highly consistent with ref. values (reproducibility 1.7% for all detd. components).
