Chemical-thermal treatment of expanded graphite as a method of its activation and regeneration
Expanded graphite electrode was optionally chem. activated with KOH and used for electrochem. oxidn. of PhOH in aq. soln. Than it was regenerated by treatment with KOH soln. and thermal treatment at 800 degrees C for 2 h to recover its electrochem. activity. The regeration resulted even in a 60% increase in the graphite activity.
