Local characteristics of a gas-liquid layer in a sectionalized bubble reactor
The results of experimental study of local properties of a gas-liquid system in a sectionalized bubbler-type reactor are reported. The radial profiles of local gas content, specific phase contact surface, gas bubble tracking frequency, and average bubble diameter are studied for different gas and liquid flow rates and reactors having different geometric parameters. Conclusions are drawn regarding the pattern and causes of variation of these properties. The derived data was used at OOO LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez to upgrade oxidation columns for petroleum asphalt production.
