Effect of modeling of the grease content in the metal-polymer composite on the tribological resistance
Com. high-temp. grease was added to the Fe-reinforced PhOH/CH2O resin matrix composite (1-5%) to improve its wear resistance. The composite was tested by a std. method (friction pair with steel) at velocity 0.1-0.4 m/s and load 150-1200 N. The processes was modeled with the artificial neural network. The grease addn. up to 1,5% resulted in non-linear wear of the studied composite. At higher contents of the grease, the wear was increased. The wear increased also with increasing the load and velocity.
