Extraction of phospholipids from chicken egg yolk using a concentrated microwave field
Phospholipids were extd. from liophilized egg yolk with EtOH in concd. microwave field (800 W, 50 Hz). The highest yield of phospholipids (16.35%) was achieved when 8 kJ energy was supplied and the spacings between pulses were 800 ms long. The yield was however lower than that achieved during conventional chem. extn. (19.23%).
