My coauthors and I welcome the opportunity to answer the "Comment" of Drs. Imbihl and Toghan in order to address their criticism and thus also necessarily clarify some key points regarding mass transfer effects when studying promotional or, more generally, catalytic phenomena in ambient conditions or in vacuum.
