An Integrated Evaluation System of Anthracite, Meager-lean Coal and Bituminous Coal Co-injection for a Blast Furnace
In order to effectively increase coal rate, replacement ratio of coal, and reduce the cost in a blast furnace, the injecting properties of a certain rank of coals, such as anthracite, meager-lean coal, bituminous coal, and their blends, have been evaluated one by one in this article. The results show that anthracite, meager-lean coal, and bituminous coal have different characteristics. The injecting properties, such as igniting point, explosivity, grindability, combustion characteristic, reactivity, etc., can be optimized to some extent with the different mixing proportion of the studied coals. Among them, combustion characteristic and reactivity are of vital importance because they are closely related to burning ratio. According to proper matching and integrated evaluation, the reasonable ratio of anthracite, meager-lean coal, and bituminous coal is chosen for improving coal rate in a blast furnace.
