Ferroelectric, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of Sr-0.6(BiNa)(0.2)Bi2Nb2O9 ceramics
Aurivillius-type ceramic, Sr-0.6(BiNa)(0.2)BizNb(2)O(9) (SBNBN), was synthesized by using conventional solid-state processing. Phase structure and microstructural morphology were confirmed by X-ray diffraction analyses (XRD) and the scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Dielectric, piezoelectric and electromechanical properties of the SBNBN ceramic were investigated in detail. Curie temperature (T-c), piezoelectric coefficient (d(33)), electromechanical coupling coefficient k(p), k(t) and quality factor Q(m) of the SBNBN ceramic were found to be 586.5 degrees C, 22 pC/N, 5.0%, 8.7% and 651, respectively. In addition, the reasons for varieties of the resistivity and dielectric properties at high temperature were also discussed. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
