On the Spatial and Temporal Distribution of Clusters
The paper considers some basic stochastic properties of assemblies of objects randomly distributed in space or appearing in time as a nonstationary flux of random events. General formulas are derived for the probability distribution function of the distances between nth neighbours in a nu-dimensional space. The theoretical predictions are compared with experimental data obtained by studying the kinetics of first order phase transitions.
