Investigation on the thermodynamic properties of KCl/CsCl + NaCl + CH3OH + H2O quaternary systems at 298.15 K

In this work, the thermodynamic properties of the quaternary electrolyte system (KCl/CsCl + NaCl + CH3OH + H2O) were investigated by potentiometric method. The experimental data were interpreted by using the Pitzer model and the Harned rule. The Pitzer mixing interaction parameters (θK/Cs-Na, ψK/Cs-Na-Cl) for each system were also evaluated according to multiple linear regression technique. Furthermore, the mean activity coefficients of KCl/CsCl and NaCl, the osmotic coefficients and the excess Gibbs free energy for the mixed electrolyte system were obtained, respectively.
