We observe a nonlinear light-scattering process in which incident photons at two different frequencies give rise to scattered radiation at the sum frequency in an isotropic medium. We utilize this process to determine the ratio beta(322)/beta(333) of the dominant components of the molecular hyperpolarizability tenser beta for para-nitroaniline.
