A nickel bis(dithiolene) complex nanosheet fabricated from benzenehexathiol and nickel(II) acetate in a bottom-up fashion exhibits semiconductivity, thereby being potentially useful as an electronics material. In the present communication we perform stepwise layering of the nanosheet in high density, taking advantage of the Langmuir-Schafer method.
