Photochemical Synthesis of Silica Nanoparticles
Silica nanoparticles were synthesized by a photochemical method in the presence of diphenyliodonium hexafluorophosphate as a superacid generator and tetraethyl orthosilicate as the silicon source. The addition of hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide was found to have a profound influence on the morphology and surface structure of the silica nanoparticles.
