Multi-physic 3D dynamic modelling of polymer membranes with a proper generalized decomposition model reduction approach
Modelling ionic conduction polymeric proton-exchange membranes at the heart of fuel cells requires the solution of highly nonlinear partial differential equations in very thin domains. Recently, proper generalized decomposition methods have emerged as particularly promising methods for this type of problems. This paper introduces the basics of this novel class of approaches and highlights their potential benefits. (C) 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
