ZnO/CNTs nanocomposite/ionic liquid carbon paste electrode for determination of noradrenaline in human samples
In the presence study we describe synthesis and application of new nanocomposite (ZnO/CNTs) room temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) modified carbon paste electrode as a voltammetric sensor for determination of noradrenaline (NE) in pharmaceutical and biological samples. The proposed sensor exhibits an enhanced effectiveness for the electro-oxidation of NE in aqueous solution. The oxidation peak potential for NE at a surface of the ionic liquid (1, 3-dipropylimidazolium bromide) ZnO/CNTs carbon paste electrode (ZnO/CNTs/IL/CPE) appeared at 440 mV. Square wave voltammetry (SWV) was applied as a very sensitive electrochemical method for the determination of NE. The linear response range and detection limit were found to be 5.0 x 10(-8) to 4.5 x 10(-4) M and 2.0 x 10(-8) M, respectively. The proposed sensor was successfully applied for the determination of NE in urine athletes and ampoule samples. (C) 2014 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
