Vapor-liquid-liquid-hydrate phase equilibrium calculation for multicomponent systems containing hydrogen
The main purpose of this study was to employ the algorithm of vapor-liquid-liquid-hydrate multiphase equilibrium to the multicomponent mixtures containing hydrogen. The Patel-Teja equation of state was used to perform the vapor-liquid-liquid (V-L-HC-L-W) three-phase flash calculation and the Chen-Guo two-step hydrate model was employed to calculate the vapor-hydrate phase equilibria. This method is rather simple due to avoiding the complexity of simultaneous solution of the sophisticated equation group. The proposed algorithm was tested on gas-emulsion systems. The comparisons of calculated results with experimental data show that the proposed algorithm is very stable and effective. (c) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
