An equation of state for methanol including the association term of SAFT
A physical term accounting for association was taken from the SAFT theory [1] and was implemented in modern (semiempirical) multiparameter Helmholtz equations of state [2] in a way that it can directly be used in common mathematical frameworks in a relatively straightforward way. The implemented physical term contains three fluid specific parameters. In order to prove its capability to accurately describe a typical associating substance even at very low temperatures (down to the triple point) and high pressures (up to 500 MPa), methanol has been selected as target fluid.
