Determination and correlation of excess molar enthalpies of the binary carbon dioxide plus ethyl acetate system at 298.15 to 308.15 K and 5.0 to 7.0 MPa
Excess molar enthalpies (H-E) of the carbon dioxide + ethyl acetate system were measured near the critical point of carbon dioxide using a flow-type isothermal microcalorimeter at 298.15-308.15 K and 5.0-7.0 MPa. Mixtures showed strong exothermic behavior in these regions. The maximum absolute value of H-E (maximum exothermic value) was about 8.5 kJ mol(-1) at 298.15 K and 5.0 MPa. A two-phase region, where H-E varied linearly with composition, was found in the CO2-rich region at all temperatures and pressures except at the condition 298.15 K and 7.0 MPa. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V.
