PdO/천연이산화망간 모노리스촉매를 사용한 일산화탄소와 Ethyl Acrylate의 산화반응

모노리스촉매에 의한 일산화탄소와 ethyl acrylate의 산화반응에 대하여 고찰하였다. 모노리스촉매는 washcoat 물질로 천연이산화망간(Natural Manganese Dioxide: NMD)을 이용하였고, 활성물질로 palladium(Pd)을 담지 시켜 기존의 모노리스 산화촉매와는 다른 모노리스촉매를 사용하였다. 이때 모노리스 단위부피당 NMD의 코팅량, Pd의 함량, 반응온도, 공간속도(space velocity)등이 산화반응에 미치는 영향에 대하여 고찰하였다. 일산화탄소와 ethyl acrylate의 산화반응 시, PdO/NMD 모노리스 촉매는 좋은 효과를 보았으며, 얻어진 결과로부터 모노리스촉매의 washcoat 물질로 NMD를 사용할 수 있는 가능성이 보여졌다.
The oxidation of carbon monoxide and ethyl acrylate has been studied over monolithic catalysts. The monolithic catalysts for which NMD (Natural Manganese Dioxide) and palladium(Pd) have been selected as a washcoat material and an active material respectively, are different from the conventional monolithic oxidation catalysts. The effect of NMD loading per unit volume of monoliths, Pd concentration, reaction temperature and space velocity on the oxidation have been investigated. It was found that the PdO/NMD monolithic catalysts were active for CO and ethyl acrylate oxidations. From the obtained results, it was suggested that NMD might be used as the washcoat material for monolithic catalysts.
