Cyclopolymerization of Optically Active Diallyl-1-Phenylethanamines
Optically active cyclopolymers were prepared by a radical polymerization of (R)-(+)- and (S)-(-)-dially-1-phenylethanamines (DAPEA) and their structures and optical properties were characterized. The polymerization of DAPEA was carried at 50 ℃ in water using 2,2''-azobis(2-amidinopropane) dihydrochloride as a radical initiator. (R)-(+)-cyclopolymer showed negative Cotton effect and (S)-(-)-cyclopolymer showed positive Cotton effect. The CD behavior of the mixed solution did not disappear. We concluded tentatively that the localization of domains (chiral groups of (R)-(+)-and (S)-(-)-cyclopolymers)was different between two cyclopolymers.
