The impact of position of Mn delta-doping on the formation of CdTe/ZnTe quantum dots with single magnetic ions
We report on the technological and optical investigations of quantum clots (QDs) formation with magnetic ions, in particular QDs with single manganese ions. Motivation of our study was to control the ion-exciton interaction by controlling the position of a magnetic ion in a QD. We used molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) of CdTeiZaTe QDs (zinc blend structure) and we studied the impact of the position of Mn 6-doping in the CdTe layer on their optical properties. The position of Mn 6-doping affects emission spectra of individual QDs with single magnetic ions and properties of QDs ensemble such as QDs density or photoluminescence energy. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V.
