Blend of Nylon 6-PET Waste
Nylon 6 and waste Pet were melt blended. Ethylene acrylic acid copolymer. EAA, polycarbonate PC and stylene-ethylene-butylene-stylene copolymer. SEBS were used as compatibilizers. Blends prepared at higher speeds showed better properties. The water vapour permeability of the blend was considerably lower than that of virgin nylon. Properties of the blend were correlated with morphology.
