Preparation, characterization and catalytic activity in the deep oxidation of acetone of Cr,Al-pillared saponites
A natural saponite was pillared with hydroxy-aluminium, hydroxychromium and hydroxy-chromium-aluminium solutions. The solutions of intercalation were characterized by visible spectroscopy, showing the presence of chromium oligomers. The pillared saponites were characterized by X-ray diffraction and nitrogen adsorption. The catalytic activity of these materials in the deep oxidation of acetone has been investigated.
