The Excess Volumes of (Tributylamine-Plus and Ether) at the Temperature 298.15-K
The excess volumes V(E) of (tributylamine + diethyl ether or dipropyl ether or di-1-methylethyl ether or dibutyl ether or 1,1-dimethylethyl methyl ether or 1,1-dimethylpropyl methyl ether or tetrahydrofuran or tetrahydropyran or 1,4-dioxane) have been measured over the whole composition range at the temperature 298.15 K in order to investigate tributylamine-ether interactions. V(E)s for each of the mixtures studied are positive with the exception of (tributylamine + diethyl ether or dipropyl ether or + di-1-methylethyl ether or 1,1-dimethylethyl methyl ether). For straight-chain and branched-chain ether molecules ROR’, V(m)E increases with increasing chain length. For the cyclic ethers V(m)E increases in the sequence : c-CH2CH2OCH2CH2O > c-(CH2)4O > c-(CH2)5O.
