Thermodynamics of Vaporization of Some Perfluorotrialkylamines
Some thermodynamic properties of perfluorotrialkylamines (-ethyl-, -propyl-, and -butyl-) and of perfluoromethyldibutylamine have been investigated. Experimental techniques and methods of estimation of thermodynamic properties are described. The vapour pressures of (CF3CF2)(3)N, {CF3(CF2)(2)}N-3, and {CF3(CF2)(3)}2NCF3 were determined by an ebulliometric method over the pressure range 6.2 kPa to 101.6 kPa. Enthalpies of vaporization of four amines by a calorimetric method and densities of {CF3(CF2)(2)}N-3, {CF3(CF2)(3)}3NCF3, and {CF3(CF2)(3)}N-3 have been measured. Critical quantities of the amines under study were calculated by means of the corresponding-states law on the basis of vapour pressures and densities. Thermodynamic quantities for perfluoromethyldibutylamine are preliminary due to large mole fraction of impurities in the sample studied.
