Determination of the Standard Molar Enthalpy of Formation of Alpha-Alooh (Diaspore)

The enthalpy change of the decomposition of alpha-AlOOH(diaspore) was calorimetrically determined. Combining with results from the literature the standard enthalpy of formation of alpha-AlOOH (diaspore) has been obtained as - (1002.7 +/- 1.0) kJ.mol(-1).
