Excess Molar Enthalpies and Excess Molar Volumes for (Butane Plus Propan-1-Ol) at Temperatures of (298.15, 323.15, and 348.15)K and Pressures of (5, 10, and 15) MPa
Excess molar enthalpies H-m(E) and excess molar volumes V-m(E) have been determined for (butane + propan-1-ol) at temperatures (298.15, 323.15, and 348.15) K and at pressures (5, 10, and 15) MPa. The H-m(E) results and the excess molar heat capacity C-p,m(E) are positive, while V-m(E)(x) is s-shaped, changing from negative to positive with increasing mole fraction x of butane. The values of (partial derivative H-m(E)/partial derivative p)(T) calculated from the H-m(E) results are compared with those calculated from V-m(E) and found to be in reasonable agreement. Comparisons are made of H-m(E)(x) and V-m(E)(x) at T = 298.15 K and p = 15 MPa for propane with other similar alkanols.
