Excess Molar Volumes and Excess Partial Molar Volumes of (Xc(6)H(5)CH(3)+(1-X)H(CH2)(V)(Och2Ch2)(3)Oh) (V=1, 2, and 4) at the Temperature 298.15-K
The excess molar volumes V-m(E) for binary liquid mixtures of {xC(6)H(5)CH(3) + (1 - x)H(CH2)(v)(OCH2CH2)(3)OH} for v = 1, 2, and 4 have been measured using a continuous-dilution dilatometer over the entire mole fraction x range at T = 798.15 K. The excess volume curves for these three mixtures are sigmoid shaped with a maximum in the toluene-rich region. The measured excess molar volume decreases as the alkyl chain length of the alkoxyethanol increases. The results have been used to estimate the excess partial molar volumes of the components.
