Distribution of residual microstresses in rolled textured metal materials
Different parameters of the X-ray line profile were determined for 1009 orientations of the normal to reflecting planes by texture measurements using a position-sensitive detector as applied to rolled metal. materials. Distributions of the relative deviation Deltad/d(av) of interplanar spacing along normals < hkl > from the average weighted level d(av) with signs much less than+much greater than or much less than-much greater than were constructed in the stereographic projection on the basis of measured values of the peak position 2 theta(phi, psi). Modes of the equilibrium of residual microstresses within the studied volume of the sample manifest themselves in characteristic features of these distributions. Most often the distribution of lattice elastic deformation shows a cross-wise character, consisting in alteration of the predominant sign of Deltad by passing from one quadrant of the stereographic projection to another.
