The properties of the alloy Fe60Pt40 were studied by magnetic measurements and X-ray diffraction. The temperature dependence of the specific heat was measured using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). We observed the fcc - fct structural phase transition during the heat treatment. The dynamics of this transformation was studied by applying different heating rates.
