Mixing properties and derived magnitudes of the system {x(1)CH(3)COOCH(3)+x(2)CH(3)OH+(1-x(1)-x(2))CH3(CH2)(4)OH} at the temperature 298.15 K
In this paper, the physical properties of densities and refractive indices have been measured and derived excess molar volumes and changes of refractive index on mixing have been calculated at T = 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure. Experimental values correspond to the ternary {x(1)CH(3)COOCH(3) + x(2)CH(3)OH + (1 - x(1) - x(2))CH3(CH2)(4)OH} and binary systems {xCH(3)COOCH(3) + (1 - x)CH3(CH2)(4)OH} and {xCH(3)OH + (1 - x)CH3(CH2)(4)OH}. Different polynomial functions have been fitted with the excess properties and their parameters determined. Several estimation methods are applied to compare the physical and derived properties. For the ternary systems, excess molar volumes and ternary contributions are compared with previous mixtures. A comparison is made in terms of excess molar volumes and ternary contributions to this property by variation of methylene groups of alkanol component.
